Something You Didn't Know About Surgery
When you go in for a surgical procedure, you'll hear a few questions more than once. "What's your name? What are you here for today?" You might get tired of answering these and similar questions. But, they're being asked for a purpose.
Rest assured, your surgeon and everyone else taking care of you on the day of your surgery will know your name and what procedure you are having. But as a precaution, they'll ask those simple questions repeatedly to make sure everyone is on the same page and nothing is overlooked. While it might seem that these questions are signs of disorganization, they are actually an important part of keeping you safe, and making sure you get just the procedure and care you are expecting.
